Senior Volleyball plays five days a week:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Bauer Drive Community Center
Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 noon at North-Potomac Community Center
Thursdays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Wheaton Community Center
Fridays from 12 noon to 2 pm at Mid-County Community Center
Every senior is welcome. But the players should have basic volleyball skill, good mobility and a good understanding of the fundamentals of volleyball.
There are no fixed teams. It is up to those playing to balance the skill as much as possible. Currently, we have about seventy active players. When softball is going on, we get fewer players and almost always only have enough players for one court. After softball is over, we often will be able to play two courts. All who come to play will play in all games by rotating players in and out.
There are no charges imposed except by the Community Centers. The current fee paid by most is a Senior fee of $50 per year that includes the right to use exercise rooms as well as gyms. All Recreation Community Centers of Montgomery County are included for the one $50 fee.
We continue to have new (and younger) players join in and older players drop out.
